BONUS ACTIVITY

Bonus rewards are earned by submitting additional threads beyond what is required for AC. Bonuses come in the form of game effects, random items, and canon regains (including abilities, items, and animal companions). Please keep in mind that regaining canon abilities may need to be tiered or nerfed; please discuss with a mod prior for further information.

While threads may be submitted at any time, they must have been started within the current or previous month to count towards bonuses (e.g. during October, threads started in September or October may be submitted at any time, but threads started in August or earlier can no longer be turned in).

In addition, each thread must have at least five comments from you. For each three threads submitted, players earn one bonus of their choice, plus one randomized bonus. Players have the option of accepting or ignoring the extra bonuses as they wish. Bonuses do not have to be played out right away, but they expire one month from the date they were received.

If you receive a random item, game effect, etc. that you have already had before, you may request a reroll for a new one.

I would like to redeem the following:

5. Gain a weapon from someone else's canon

For the Blade of Broken Mirrors (dagger) from Mishka's canon! I have full knowledge that it'll come absolutely depowered and that its abilities can be regained through bonus AC. Let me copy paste its abilities from what Tuesday said:

• Blade of Broken Mirrors (Dagger)
◦ Blade of Broken Mirrors is a sentient chaotic evil weapon that can hear and communicate with its wielder telepathically.
◦ The weapon yearns to cause chaos. It learns its wielder's principles, then uses those ideals to encourage reckless action.
◦ NORMALLY, the blade lets you assume the appearance of another person the blade has tasted the blood of. This might be too powerful for a random effect regain, so YMMV

◦ This dagger is a piece of jagged stone whose blade is scribed with a maze-like pattern with no beginning or end.
◦ If you throw this weapon, it immediately returns to your hand.

◦ Intelligence of 21, a Wisdom of 24, and a Charisma of 24. (The soft cap for stats is 20, so it's just really good at these particular things.) (Also, Charisma isn't necessarily being charming, though it can be; in DND terms, Power has high charisma, because she's got strong force of personality, lol. So the personality can be w/e you want it to be, it's just not a timid weapon.)
◦ The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Abyssal and [Universal Language]. Abyssal is the language used by demons.
◦ The wielder can speak, read, and write Abyssal. (Probably a regain, if you want this.)

◦ On transformation: While holding the dagger, you can use an action to change your form to match any humanoid the blade remembers (has tasted the blood of). Your statistics, other than your size, don't change. Any equipment you are wearing or carrying isn't transformed. You can revert to your true appearance as an action. You revert to your true appearance automatically when you die.

◦ Upon acquiring the dagger, for simplicity's sake we'll say it automatically attunes to Ellis. This just means that if someone else picks up the dagger, they don't get access any of the cool powers or a fun voice in their head (attunement can be ended, though, if Ellis ever doesn't want it anymore).
◦ When the Blade of Broken Mirrors attunes to a new wielder, the appearances of humanoids it has tasted are wiped from its memory.

So! Please tell me how many bonuses it'll take to regain all of this or if some things can't! Lay it on me. You know I personally won't have a problem with number of bonuses.

Alright! Rather than flat nerfs, here are the changes will be made to the weapon upon Ellis gaining it. These changes can be fixed via regains. This weapon will need two regains to be fully buffed back to its original form.

1. "...the blade lets you assume the appearance of another person the blade has tasted the blood of." Instead of mirroring their appearance, the wielder will be able to shift into a nearly identical copy of the other person... minus their face. Spoopy.

2. The blade can still speak the universal language of Crescentview, but instead of also being able to speak Abyssal, it routinely lapses into French for no discernible reason.
