Age: 25
History: Asuka is a man that's never seen it rain. Or snow, or hail, or frankly be any type of weather aside from arid, dry, and scorching hot, because his world experienced what should have been an extinction event long ago. To make a long story short, it's only due to a minor goddess known as the Maiden that the people of Desuya still exist--after watching her people commit to a massive undertaking to move the entirety of their civilization below ground to escape the changing climate, she gifted eight of their number with the magic to create water to ensure their survival. As the original eight died, their spirits remained to select another member of their small society to inherit the power; Asuka inherited this power and became a Summoner at 17 years old, shortly after his mother's death. Since then, he's been balancing taking care of his baby sisters and "managing" his younger brother with all the responsibilities he has to the people of Desuya. It's a lot but honestly? He has no regrets ♥
Personality: Asuka is a big dumb puppy dog who just wants the people around him to be happy. He's mastered the art of being obnoxious right up to the point where someone wants to punch him and then carefully toeing that line, and he's happy to make a complete idiot of himself if it makes someone else smile. Asuka likes to live in the moment--he doesn't want to think too hard about the past or worry about the future, he just wants to drink and smoke and see how high up in the air he can hurl himself with his magic without hitting the ceiling. After all, why does he need to think too hard? He's a Summoner, and that's a life appointment he's not interested in weaseling his way out of.
CRAU: N/A
Powers: Fire magic (strong-ish) and water magic (stronger). Asuka's got a fuck-ton of raw magic power, considering he's 1/8th of a team responsible for ~12k people; he's mostly limited only by his own imagination in how he can draw on it. His water magic is way stronger than his fire, though, just by nature of how much he's required to do with said water magic. Nerfing is absolutely good and fine, just lmk how limited he'll be o7
Inventory: Clothes (obviously), a black ribbon looped twice around his neck and tied in a bow, a little metal case of cigarettes, and two knives (one in his boot and one up his sleeve).
Likes: People who are good to other people, mostly. This doesn't even have to be in a completely sincere way; he thinks tsunderes are hilarious and likes to pretend he doesn't understand they're tsunning. A good sense of humor (or maybe a bad sense of humor? A sense of humor), a willingness to play, to let loose, not judgmental about what he does or doesn't know (or at least, recognizes that he's smart enough in his own way and not knowing what a sunset is doesn't make him dumb), but also: a strong sense of self. You can get away with so much if you have a strong sense of self and can somehow ground him.
Dislikes: Greed, treating other people poorly, being overly snobby or hoity-toity, any tendencies to ghost people, hyperfixations, being too scientifically-minded, forgetting to meet up with someone because you were in the middle of things...
Ideal dates/venues: NOT WATCHING A SUNSET, GOOD GOD. But his idea of a good date would be good food and good booze, followed by whatever his date wants to do--he's more interested in seeing them enjoying themselves than doing anything in particular (though he does love clubbing...).

⬥ Note: Asuka's fire and water magic will be restricted at the start but can be buffed through regains. He'll still be able to set things on fire and... water things...? but not to the degree where any significant injury or damage can be inflicted through his magic. He can light a small house on fire and be a pain in the ass to get into a splash fight with on the beach, but that's about it for now!
