Age: 20
History: In Ovoscan Territory in the harsh, endless night of the Ostoyan Empire, Adelis Rosell was the second child of a workaholic woodworker and his paranoid, nervous wife. Poverty is the mainstay in their country, and so they struggled day to day, Adelis and his sister working about the house with the boy himself sneaking out when his mother wasn't looking to run about with the street children. With 4 mouths to feed, little income, a constant fear of things in the night, and his son's supposed curse that caused him crippling headaches and fits, it's no wonder that Adelis' father soon collapsed under the pressure and saw to bring an end to his endless turmoil. Returning after running away for several days after an argument, Adelis came home to an empty house, and only the pity of his neighbor told him what had happened in his absence- his father had made a deal with their undead keepers for his own safety, at the cost of his family...but without the son, they opted to stick to the deal and took the screaming father to take his place. Orphaned at the age of 11, left with an empty house and his father's meagre savings, he ended up falling in among the children from before, living a bare existence of hiding from the undead who swept the streets for unfortunate souls and stealing any and everything they could in order to survive. He was one of the few who did, and upon showcasing exceptional talent in sneaking and thievery, he was offered a job from the Ebon Syndicate as a teen. He did the job, and did it well, and thus began a life of contract crime, doing everything from extortion to the occasional assassination, with few rules but a moral code that killing children 'simply left a bad taste in his mouth'.
Personality: As most in Ostoya are, living in an hostile, oppressive society, Adelis is particularly slow to trust and is a cold, calculating person. He is out for himself and only himself, or so he says- although he does occasionally toss a spat of advice towards those less fortunate, he prefers to think about his own survival. He doesn't make a lot of connections that aren't business-related, and is exceptionally money-hungry, only spending his hard-earned things on food, tools, and extravagant clothes to make himself seem like a trustworthy hire as well as less 'threatening', and constantly speaks in terms of how money makes the world go 'round. His temper is also fairly short, and despite his looks and businesslike acumen where it counts, he can drop it in a moment for a barrage of cruel words and hissed insults, and will not hesitate to give you the blunt honesty you surely don't want. There is no word for mercy in the Ostoyan language, and thus he has shut himself off from other people to protect himself and ensure his own future...although this is healthy for no man, and it's about time he realized it.

Powers: As a Rogue, most of Adelis' abilities are purely gained through training his body- his agility and senses are sharpened from years of practice, creeping through back alleys, and being permanently alert for signs of danger in Ostoya's streets. He does, however, have some things most others in his trade don't.
As a Soulknife rogue, Adelis has experienced severe headaches since childhood, which have only recently into his adulthood surfaced as proper psionic powers. He carries a wellspring of psionic power in his body, developed and fed off contact with the dead and deceased (although he's not quite aware of this). This gives him several abilities, such being able to speak with people telepathically as well as form knives made out of solid psionic energy. However he can only use the telepathy several times a day, as it's draining on the body.
He still occasionally suffers headaches, and he's also...a little bit haunted, in that occasionally leakages in his psionic power will lead to things like manifesting spirits of the dead. They don't speak, and are mainly just pink figures made of energy without specific facial features, but they're there! Don't worry, they'll go away.

Likes: Someone who isn't too overly familiar, and who's smart, book-wise and/or street-wise. Fellow survivalists who know the drill. Alternatively, somebody calm and patient.
Dislikes: Downright stupidity. People who don't think before they act.
vampirespeople who are fervently religious.Ideal dates/venues: Going for dinner or to a cafe, games like chess or cards, going somewhere quiet and peaceful. There's really no...date spots or things like a 'romantic walk on the beach' in Ostoya, so he'd probably have to be introduced to them. All the more fun!
